Travel and Tourism Public Relations Department

The travel and tourism public relations department works closely with consumer travel, travel trade, and meetings with trade journalists from around the Medicine Hat and Area to promote the City. Working directly with the city's hospitality industry, tourism development and Tourism's Partner Membership, our team highlights new products and showcases the manageability and navigability of the city through the eyes of future visitors. The department also develops travel story ideas for journalists and for those who cover the travel and tourism industry as their beat.

Media Requests

If you're a member of the working press, either domestic or international, please contact our public affairs coordinator via our Contact Us Page to obtain support and press materials. Public Affairs offers a press kit and other access to city attractions. We do not provide annual press credentials to the media, but can provide access to the city's visitor attractions on a case-by-case basis depending on the story angle of your article. Our communications managers can also assist you to customize your itinerary for your travel feature. Our goal is to help you write the most authentic and accurate story on Medicine Hat.

Tourism Medicine Hat and the City of Medicine Hat maintains a library of digital images of Medicine Hat for use by the media, meeting and travel professionals and Tourism Partner Members for noncommercial promotional use.
