With our new addition of our coffee shop and Butterfly House, we are also a great place to hang out with your family! Next to the Butterfly House, we even have a small petting zoo! Butterfly House:
The Butterfly House is a 5000 sq. ft. tropical paradise with hundreds of exotic butterflies, birds, fish, and turtles. Located inside the Windmill Garden Centre, which is a full line garden centre with a petting zoo, gift shop, espresso cafe and ice cream.The Butterfly house is open May to October and contains around 500 butterflies at any one time.
They also have an emerging house on the deck where visitors can view the butterflies in their chrysalis form, and if they are lucky enough, they might even see one emerge and dry its wings. The knowledgeable staff can answer any questions about the butterflies and they offer special tours for groups over 15.The butterfly house can also be rented for special events such as birthdays or weddings.
