Join us for an afternoon of prairie sights and locally made spirits to sip. We leave the city behind and head into rural Alberta. Keep an eye out for irrigation pivots in the passing fields - they are the inspiration for southern Alberta's newest craft distillery PIVOT SPIRITS in Rolling Hills.
When we arrive, owner and Distiller Lars will lead the group on a one-of-a-kind outdoor experience that tells the Grain-To-Glass story. Travel through the nearby fields of grains, pass by the irrigation pivots that inspired the distilleries name, then tour the facility and learn how those same grains are transformed to become a collection of signature spirits. Following the tour the patio and a flight of spirits to sample awaits you and so does a delicious pizza lunch. There will be plenty of time to relax, browse merchandise and purchase your favourite spirits to enjoy at home before you depart.
Next, hop back on the bus and set off to the second stop on your Newell adventure PISTON BROKE BREWING in Brooks. You'll be greeted with the story of how Brooks' very first craft brewery came to be. Settle into the bustling taproom and enjoy a flight of featured brews - each with a unique flavour profile. Found a favourite? Grab a 6 pack or growler to take home.
DEPART 10am 13th Avenue Co-op (back parking lot) - please arrive at 9:45am for loading. Bus departs promptly at departure time.
RETURN approximately 4:30pm arrival back in Medicine Hat
