The Medicine Hat Interpretive Program will be hosting an interactive pop-up event called Cloud Spotting: The Prairie Sky, a program focused on weather, observation and the natural world. Participants will learn about cloud types, prairie weather and how observing the sky and our environment can help us better understand the world around us.

Visitors will have the opportunity to create their own decorative cloud viewers using printed cloud guides while learning how to identify common cloud formations such as cumulus, cirrus, and stratus clouds. The program will also include a small interpretive display featuring weather science, cloud formation information, and ways to help care for local natural spaces. Registration is not required for this family-friendly event. It begins at 1pm on Saturday May 30th, located out back of the Nature Centre by the rock circle. Attendees are encouraged to dress for the weather and bring blankets, lawn/camping chairs, water and sun protection for comfortability.

Bring your own blankets and chairs!
