Historic Railroad Walking Tour

Dates: July 25
Time: 10 am – 11 am

Explore the neighbourhood that grew around the arrival of the Canadian Pacific Railway. The railroad brought hotels, restaurants, businesses, and opportunities that helped shape Medicine Hat.

This guided tour highlights North Railway Street’s historic landmarks, hidden architectural details, ghost signs, and diverse community history. The tour ends at Hometown Culinary — originally the OK Coffee Shop, opened in 1947 — where guests can enjoy an iced coffee at the original 1947 price of just 25 cents.
