Guest Speakers for our upcoming Townhall meeting announced: Ms. Michelle Stirling and Mr. Brian Zinchuk. They will be addressing the Solar Farm financial feasibility of this project and its impact to the taxpayers of our community.
MHURA will also touch upon the MCAF and utility fees and taxes.
Recently, our City communicated to Hatters that this project was a “no regret” strategic investment. Let’s hope they give the public transparency on the numbers that this project will NOT be a financial risk, as well as open consultation for the constituents prior to purchasing this project. We all have a right to know the risks, as this is a huge taxpayer funded investment. Would you support a plebiscite if the City goes ahead with the Solar farm project?
We ALL must continue to let our Councillors know we have a voice and demand accountability from our City.
