Mother's Apron is a one woman play and the prominent story is found in 'A Harvest Yet to Reap', a collection of settler stories about a woman who came from England as a mail order bride. When she arrived in Moose Jaw, her fiancé was a no show. Mother's Apron includes 7 stories told through the 7 aprons that Madonna Hamel ties on and off as each new story begins. Besides stories from 1890, she also has a section telling the story of a former woman pilot and a farmer from the 'Women's Land Army' in England during the World War 2.
