Public professional and personal development workshop with Patricia Morgan, MA, CCC Sponsored by Unison Veiner Centre Based on Morgan's award-winning book Return to Center: Simple Strategies to Navigate Distress, Depression, and Disconnection, this interactive workshop is open to everyone and is eligible for 1.5 Continuing Education Credits (CECs). Especially valuable for mental health professionals, teachers, coaches, parents, volunteers, and anyone whose role involves helping others co-regulate during moments of fear, anger, anxiety, depression, or emotional overwhelm. Participants will discover: * A practical understanding of the nervous system and Polyvagal Theory * How to recognize signs of safety, connection, overwhelm, and disengagement in themselves and others * Practical strategies to increase calm, focus, resilience, and meaningful connection * Ways to support emotional regulation in themselves and others Admission $25 Early Bird (until September 4) $30 Regular Admission (cash at the door) Refreshments are included.
