Medicine Hat Golf

Sport & Leisure

Take advantage of Alberta’s longest golf season! !

As Canada’s Sunniest City, Medicine Hat’s courses get greener sooner and often remain open right into October. It’s no more than 20 minutes from one golf course to the next.

Cottonwood Coulee Golf Course

The distances at Cottonwood Coulee Golf Course may not be grand but the visuals presented when you make the final turn at the top of the hill running down to this 18-hole executive length layout certainly are.

Set at the bottom of the coulees that run through Medicine Hat, Cottonwood Coulee is an eye-candy golf experience. From the beautifully laid out holes, to the waterfowl that inhabit the area, to the surrounding bluffs, you’ll want to take as many shots with your camera as with your sticks.

Desert Blume Golf Course

Located just outside the city limits, this 18-hole beauty makes you think before you drive, and look twice before you putt.

Nestled amongst the coulees in this part of the province, you won’t find trees getting in your way. Rather, the course and its 6,800 yards of challenge are guarded by fescue grasses, massive bunkers, and quick-rolling, undulating greens.

Medicine Hat Golf and Country Club

As the granddaddy of all the golf courses in “The Hat”, the Medicine Hat Golf & Country Club has definitely kept itself up to date. Originally founded in 1913 just outside the city, this course is now located in the heart of the city in its second home, founded in 1934. It perches high above the South Saskatchewan River, affording players great views of the waterway plus the city skyline.

Playing to a top distance of 6,700 yards, this old gentleman offers players wide, majestic tree-lined fairways and large greens.
